Overview

Description

Join us for a small-group day trip along one of Sicily’s most beautiful stretches of coastline, just west of Palermo.

We’ll begin at Grotta delle Colombe, where we’ll spend the main part of the day swimming, relaxing and enjoying its clear waters and dramatic rocky scenery.

On the way back, we’ll make a short panoramic stop around Cala Rossa and Torre Alba, known for their striking red cliffs and views over the sea. We’ll then head to Terrasini for a relaxed walk through the seaside town, with some free time for a gelato or coffee. The experience will end with a final beach stop at Magaggiari, before returning to Palermo.

The day combines swimming, coastal landscapes, light walking and the relaxed atmosphere of a Sicilian seaside town.

Not-Included

• Food and beverages are not included, we will stop in traditional cafes and bakeries where you can purchase food and drink. Best to brink some snacks.
• WATER, bring at least 2L
• Parking - if it's a group decision to visit somewhere with paid parking

What to Bring

• Comfortable closed-toe shoes, such as trainers/sneakers or closed water shoes, as part of the route involves walking over rocks. You may also bring flip-flops for the beach, but they are not suitable for the rocky path.
• Minimum 2 litres of water, a towel, a swimsuit, a change of clothes, a hat, sunscreen, snacks (even if we’ll stop for food) and an open mind.

Itinerary

• ~ 9:30 Meeting at Beet Botanical Garden (if you're staying at Beet via Agrigento we'll pick you up)
• Palermo → Grotta delle Colombe → panoramic stop → walk and gelato in Terrasini → final swim surprise
• Around 17:15 we will conclude the day and drive back to Palermo with drop-offs at Beet via Agrigento and Beet Botanical Garden
